About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Counselling and Mental Health Assessor to join a dedicated team in Doncaster ONLINE. This is a temporary ongoing position offering stability without a fixed end date, ideal for professionals looking for flexibility alongside meaningful work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing individuals’ mental health needs, providing informed recommendations, and supporting access to appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health and counselling assessments
• Evaluate client needs, risks, and suitability for support services
• Develop and recommend appropriate care or support plans
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records
• Provide professional guidance and signposting to services
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Mental Health, or related field
• Proven experience in mental health assessment or similar role
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively
• A compassionate, professional, and non-judgemental approach
