About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Counselling and Mental Health Assessor to join a dedicated team in Doncaster ONLINE. This is a temporary ongoing position offering stability without a fixed end date, ideal for professionals looking for flexibility alongside meaningful work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing individuals’ mental health needs, providing informed recommendations, and supporting access to appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and counselling assessments
- Evaluate client needs, risks, and suitability for support services
- Develop and recommend appropriate care or support plans
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Provide professional guidance and signposting to services
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Mental Health, or related field
- Proven experience in mental health assessment or similar role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively
- A compassionate, professional, and non-judgemental approach
